Scholarships
FRANCES L. MOORE SCHOLARSHIP
The Frances L. Moore Scholarship is for one academic year and will
be awarded to an outstanding student enrolled in a nursing program.
The recipient will be selected on the basis of current academic
standing and financial need. The scholarship amount will be determined
according to funds available and may be renewable. The recipient
for the scholarship award is a student who demonstrates potential
for professional contributions to nursing and through their actions
will serve as a positive role model to other nursing students.

ALMA L. MAYFIELD SCHOLARSHIP
The Alma L. Mayfield Scholarship is for one academic year and will
be awarded to a student who has demonstrated community service and
a genuine interest in obtaining a college education in any field
of study. The recipient is selected by the Scholarship
Fund of Alexandria (SFA) on the basis of current academic standing
and financial need.

LTC KAREN J. WAGNER SCHOLARSHIP FUND
In honor of a fallen comrade the COEFI Military Scholarship Fund
has been renamed to the Lieutenant Colonel Karen J. Wagner Scholarship
Fund. LTC Wagner served as a Personnel Policy Officer in the Office
of The Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel and was killed as a result
of a terrorist attack on the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. LTC
Wagner was a Medical Service Corps officer and a native of San Antonio.
The scholarship fund will support a son or daughter of an Active
Duty, Retired, National Guard, Reserve or Deceased member of the
Armed Forces (any branch). It is awarded based on academic merit,
financial need, demonstration of social commitment and leadership
potential.
